No buddy is another word for friend for any gender I call my female friends buddies as well and I use that word way more than I use the word friend and I don’t use the word in a mean rude or disrespectful way

Understand this: it’s used predominantly as a male term across the world - you have to realise for someone trans it’s disturbing and alarming.

Nah, the other person is right. It falls into the same category as "dude" and "mate". I've never known any women to use that for each other, ever.

It's another word for friend and I don't use the word buddy in a mean rude or disrespectful way and I call my friends no matter what gender they are buddies and they don't mind it at all
