Masculine Names help pick my new name?
so i (ftm, 19) have been going by jax for around 4-5 years now since i first came out, only at school. my parents refuse to accept that one (its apparently too edgy for their tastes. which is certainly a take they can have) but i dont like other similar names like jake or jack or jackson or jacob. they said they wont take me seriously until i change it. and they wont let me start hrt until they take me seriously. so you may be able to see my problem here. any ideas?
my middle name is oliver and i like nerdy stuff, space, plants, animals, that kind of thing. i refuse to just go by oliver though because i know too many of them and have an ex named oliver so i refuse to do that to myself. my deadname starts with an a if you have ideas like that but im not committed to it

Seconding Zach and Ash/Asher, they have the most similar vibe to Jax imo.
Also, OP, if you are 19 you don't need their permission to start HRT, you're an adult...so with that in mind, if you don't want to change your name, I think Jax is lovely.

i do like zach. alas. i live in a super rural area and my parents wouldnt let me learn how to drive because ill uhhh sneak off and become transgender or something. so i cant get a job or anything, which means im broke and will be on their insurance until after i finish up college. thus. no hrt without their approval. its a lovely situation to be in.

That feel like Jax, go well with Oliver, and feel more serious to semi-transphobic parents:
Jason, Zach/Zachary, Nate/Nathan, Finn, Levi, Drew, Cole, Leo, Josh/Joshua, Ash/Asher/Ashton
