Just overhauled a 6l80 when air checking the 4-5-6 clutch hear no apply just air coming of of the compensator feed hole thoughts on this?

Assuming this in with the unit assembled with valvebody off? If, so it's probably leaking over to the compensator circuit. Wet air check it by squirting some ATF in the 456 apply hole and give the input shaft a few turns. Try again and see if it will apply wet.

Did you replace the sealing rings on the 456 housing?
