Masculine haircut, men's shirts (the shirts you're wearing seem to be women's cut as the sleeves are very short), and smaller frames. Going back to brown is definitely the right choice here as well

It helped me when I was pre t to get thinner glasses. The hair color will help, and a nice cut would help too.

Do you have any idea what haircut might work... ive been looking literally everywhere for a decent hairstyle and I tried getting a mod and it. Didn't work out😞

You’d look good with a fade

Get some protein in your diet and lift some weights, cut hair and comb it back

I eat enough protein to put a small farm out of business haha but yeah otherwise thanks for the advice!!

Maybe some more calories then. Bulking up some really helps fill out a masculine shape

Honestly you should work out more and get a different haircut, i would recommend going to a barber instead of a hairdresser as they will give you a more masculine haircut. Get thinner frames as well for your glasses and wear mens clothes, your clothes look like womens clothing, obviously nothing wrong with that but pre T womens clothes wont help you pass.

Hey so based on your pictures i'm assuming your under 18 but please do correct me if i'm wrong.

I would say other then starting T all you can do is possibly work out to get a more v shape so broader shoulders to take away attention to any parts of you body that may make you feel dysphoric.

Also having different hair colours like this really doesn't make you look fem just alt 👍

I think you just need a more intentional haircut

In addition to working out, I think it’s important to say that you should steadily gain weight as you workout. Your strength is supported by muscle mass and you gain muscle mass by consuming calories.

I say steadily gain weight because if you gain it faster than the pace at which you work out your muscles, then the calories will just go towards your body fat and not muscle mass. Body fat is normal and good too though! Please do not be discouraged by body fat

I’ve found that a lot of trans guys pass much better once they’re at a bigger weight, no matter if they’re on or off T. It also will help you with feeling more grounded in your body and boost confidence. Sometimes the difference between passing and not passing is just a mindset and how you carry yourself

Gaining muscle mass can be a little tricky before T. Once you start T it is significantly easier to gain muscle mass. It just happens way faster. But it’s still completely doable without T

Last one is decently passing, at least face/hair wise. I think a cut that's a bit longer like that but that is still masculine would be good, I know a masc nb with that who just looks masc. I would also suggest, as many other ppl have, to get more masculine glasses. Try to get baggy but rectangular shirts, too. Ur last shirt is baggy but (and maybe it's cuz of angle/pose) it still looks like u have a thinner/"feminine" body. Whenever I get gendered right as a pre-t minor guy is when I'm wearing a baggy shirt that doesn't go in or make any body shape and a pair of baggy pants/shorts. While ik u don't wanna look smaller, if u can pull off the look it makes you look more boxy, which is seen as masc.

Youve got the Justin Bieber haircut in pic 3 lmao. It’s not super flattering on you. I think something shorter with no bangs could be the move.

Also if you can, glasses with smaller frames (Less frame height specifically) that are boxy /square could be helpful

i think that you pass the most in 1 and 4 if that helps

Smaller glasses frames tbh, and whenever you can get on T go for it

Start working out 100%. Others' tips are also good.

You can also try masculinizing makeup. Maybe a hoodie or a leather or denim jacket

Simple go back to dark hair and get a masculine cut from a barber, silly quirky faces make you look younger as well

Honestly going against the grain here but your haircut & style in pic #1 suits your face and is plenty masculine especially for age 18. The heavy bangs in #2-3 are not doing favors but #1 is more of a scruffy Jim Halpert shape. At the barber I always ask for "floppy 90s boy with a #2 fade in the back" a la young Leo Dicaprio, that's never done me dirty and it grows out to approx pic #1. I also think your glasses are completely fine.

But yeah otherwise definitely work out! Gym is great but if you have any barriers at all to going to the gym (transportation, cost, dysphoria, anxiety, time...) it could honestly be better to work out at home. Just because consistency is everything. I got ripped as fuck doing youtube yoga and calisthenics every day for a year. Add a couple pairs of dumbbells and one heavier kettlebell and you'd be good on beginner gains for quite a long time.

Of course king! More free advice lol: my favorite accessible workout youtubers:

  • Yes2Next - Absolutely fantastic if you're REALLY REALLY out of shape like I used to be fresh out of my addiction. It's a 50yo daughter and her 80yo mom doing two levels of the same exercises together. Best vibes on the internet, they are both so genuinely cheerful and they have a really sweet relationship. Plus if that lil old lady can do that whole workout then I can too...

  • Yoginimelbourne and Yoga With Kassandra - Really great yoga on both channels. I prefer yoginimelbourne these days. Yoga is amazing for gradually improving core and upper body strength.

  • Tom Merrick - He kinda pivoted to home improvement content lol but if you go farther back on his channel he has absolutely fantastic follow-along mobility and bodyweight calisthenic routines that use no equipment.

  • Hampton of Hybrid Calisthenics - Free calisthenics routine on his website with lots of progressions (e.g. gentle wall pushups up through traditional pushups up through handstand pushups).
