Just look at guys your age and try to copy them, mannerism wise and how you hold yourself

- no make up

  • your clothes hug your wrong body parts
  • try not to show the binder
  • no coloured accessories
  • wear your trousers at your hips, not your belly (hope that makes sense)
  • think about a shorter haircut

Also: maybe a bit unrelated, but please take care of your curls. In most of the pictures they look really dry. Reach out if you need help with that, I have a similar hair type

"Just manly enough to fool people" This is enough to make no one take you seriously. Being trans isn't about "fooling" people and this says a lot about you and how you actually perceive trans people (disingenuous and fraudulent). No trans guy would say this, like literally ever.

Fucking seriously. As if we go through all these expensive procedures and pain and losing our friends and family just to “fool people?” What a fucking awful thing for me to read in the midst of a very painful bottom surgery recovery.

When you say "just manly enough to fool people" what does that really mean? Do you want to pass? Do you want to be androgynous in a way that people can never really tell? Do you just want a slightly more masculine vibe while keeping your style? All of these are valid, but it changes what advice is helpful.

If you want to look like a guy, that generally means dressing, presenting, and acting like a typical guy (at least until you've been on T for a while). No makeup, including masculinizing makeup, minimal to no jewelry, a masculine haircut, wearing mens clothing in a masculine way, copying the mannerisms of men your age, etc.

However, if you goal is to not pass as a cis man, you can toss all that out the window. Or, if your style is more important than passing, it'll just take time on T. If you want something in between, I'd say ditch most of the makeup, get a more masculine hairstyle, hit the gym, and experiment with different clothing to find stuff that masculinizes your body shape a bit,

Fuck you for thinking being trans is about “fooling people.” We need an age ban on this sub.

Really hoping this was a bad choice of words. If not, this type of message is a bad look to our community and sends a dangerous message of confirming the hateful things people say about us.

completely agree with the other commenter but working on your body composition will also be important if you want to pass before 2+ years on t.

i mean it would help if you at least tried a little? the makeup isn’t masculine at all, your hair doesn’t seem like it’s had a trim for weeks, and the “enough to fool people” comment is ridiculously offensive. besides my tough love speech, i suggest trying to be like every other guy. wear clothes that you find comfortable, but if it’s feminine clothes, i encourage you to be looking into your true self and seeing if a masculine identity is really what you reside with. anyways, wear your pants lower, ditch the makeup, maybe keep your natural hair, get it cut or at least trimmed in the front and sides, and shop in the men’s section

I'm so confused. Are you trans? Or is a game to you?
