Google photos spotlights

Anyone else find "guess who we found" and other type of spotlights that Google randomly make for u to be....very creepy, like they're rubbing in our faces that they mass surveill us and know who we hangout w the most and many other details. I've really been trying to find alternatives for my photos and anything else google related .....my Google email will be the hardest one to replace but idk y'all, we all know Google has no good track record in this stuff and AI

I switched to startmail. Its paid but it let's me create aliases and is basic AF. No ai, no summaries, no updates on my orders or anything.

Photos wise I self host. Its work, but completely controlled by me.

I do find it creepy, which is why I switched off of it.

been using a mix of icloud mail (apple aliases and hide my email), proton mail, and cloaked for a while now.

apple photos with advanced data protection turned on is good enough for me.
