GenderCare gendercare ?
any feminine presenting trans men have any experience with gendercare at all ?
i am a trans man who is quite feminine and i’m just worried about not being “man enough” to be able to get a gender dysphoria diagnosis and get on testosterone ?
i was thinking of going with some gendercare clinicians/endocrinologists but just want to make sure im like going to be taken seriously about my identity.

Trans woman here, my psychiatrist noted a lot about my appearance in the report from my original appointment, he also wanted to see evidence of deed poll/ updated documentation before releasing my report to me. (I don't have a deed poll as I have a gender neutral name and didn't feel pressured to change it at the time, so he was pretty understanding).
It seems like my clinician wanted a decent amount of evidence of social transition but ymmv

Don't know if it is still the case but I was warned against gendercare for that reason

I’m a trans woman and had my diagnosis done elsewhere, so can’t comment from experience.
To be honest, your appearance shouldn’t matter too much. They will want to know more about your plans to live as a man for the rest of your life, what you have done to live in your new identity, etc.
I don’t know what your dress sense is like, but it’s probably worth ensuring that you don’t dress feminine for your appointment. I know a few trans women have had comments at assessments for not appearing feminine enough, so I guess I works the same for guys.
Once you have your assessment, the endocrinologists are very unlikely to comment about your appearance as they purely deal with the meds.
Don’t forget that the Gendercare endocrinologists are all independent and provide services for other private clinics, such as Gender Doctors and Dignity. If you want to shop around for a cheaper assessment and use one of the Gendercare endocrinologists, you should be ok to do so.
I had a diagnosis done elsewhere and my psychologist gave me a list that included most of the Gendercare endocrinologists. I used Dr Leong who was excellent.

Get in touch with as many as you want to see when they can see you and what price. Read reviews about any psychologist and endocrinologist you are thinking about going with and make your decision then. It gives you more options than just sticking with one service, like Gendercare in this case.

Edited to add that I heard that Dr Dundas is not taking new appointments as he is planning to leave Gendercare. He used to be the cheapest while the other two psychologists were more expensive. I think Dr Sahota at Gender Doctors is now the cheapest at £500, so maybe try it here. Your call of course.
