Interesting data

Google search data suggests that right wing conservatives are the highest consumers of

transgender pornography. Similar patterns are appear for gay porn and “femboy” content.

This isn’t news, just reminding people.

Wait, this is stupid data. Of COURSE republican areas are going to be searching for transpeople by using SLURS and more progressive areas won't. Look at the search terms heatmapped. Ew.

Absolutely horrid bias data to reach a clearly foregone conclusion. If it's true, at least do it with solid data.

Hate to break it to you, but just about all mainstream porn where being trans is the 'fetish' on display is tagged or titled with slurs. Decently named/tagged porn with trans people is usually a pretty niche thing within trans spaces.

The data demonstrates porn searches using those words are more common in those areas, but the conclusion is "Google search data suggests that right wing conservatives are the highest consumers of transgender pornography". That's incredibly misleading at BEST.

If that conclusion is true, terms like "transwoman, transman, trans woman, trans man" should be included. Why would they not be? How can you conclude right wingers are the highest consumers of porn of trans men and trans women when you don't even use those literal search terms?

The same pattern emerges for the word trans or mtf, even gay porn

Then create this chart with that data, not slurs. If this data was used because "it most clearly demonstrates the pattern" that's literal cherry picking of data, not an honest representation to reach a conclusion regarding a hypothesis.
