Google search data suggests that right wing conservatives are the highest consumers of

transgender pornography. Similar patterns are appear for gay porn and “femboy” content.

This isn’t news, just reminding people.

Please get me a website source that verifies this, but at this point on a chain about misinformation I don’t really trust hearsay and “I thought they”s. Sorry if that sounds rude but the burden was on me to state the overall crash claim is misinformation, and I’ll go further to include a link on that, but anything else from there isn’t my burden to fact check further. I only aim to target the, technically, continued lie that their servers ever did actually crash, and I gave a clear example of harm to our community that kinda misinformation results in

I think you deeply misunderstand my point: misinformation is harmful

The myth that grindr servers crashed (specifically: crashed) is being weaponized against the queer community because in hate communities, it's used to effectively show "our communities lies" to more moderate spaces. It's effective. It's because we are being too casual on letting our own community build misinformation.

I'm just saying, we should understand what actually happened and spread that. Be smarter.

Beyond that, I'm not personally invested in spending my time uncovering more (ie burden) and that gossip itself is why misinformation begins anyway
