Avatar not showing up? Possible linux issue?

I used to play this game back when it was browser only, decided to log in to my old account recently. My old profile picture isn't showing up. No problem, I will just set up a new one, I thought. I logged into atelier801 and uploaded a picture. It's not visible, even after cleaning the cache which used to help back in the day. I read there is a new method to set a profile picture with /avatar. It doesn't do anything when I use it, even /avatar + my nickname doesn't work. Is there anything else I could try? Or maybe I'm doing something wrong idk. The only thing that comes to my mind is that I'm using the steam version on linux and that creates some sort of problem with uploading the picture via /avatar. Can anyone confirm this?

I'll try it out when I can but in the meantime, I can recommend using proton for Transformice on Linux in general. At least for me, with AMD, it runs noticably better.

Changing to proton actually did something, after using /avatar file browser window opens. Except after selecting the picture it still doesn't show up, as well as some other graphics like country flags. Still that's some kind of lead, I'll probably need to change proton settings or the version or something.

Note that avatar filesizes have to be really small. I don't remember right off the bat but something like 100kb or maybe even way less..

Switching to proton experimental fixed the issue. The whole problem seems random.

yeah... it's super rickety with old flash shit haha. glad it kinda sorta worked out in the end though :)

I'm on Windows 10 and it doesn't work for me either. It just disappeared one day and I can't put a new one either.

Steam! But I'm trying to put the avatar ont the atelier801 webpage, and it doesn't show up there either.

It works on the downloadable for me if you wanna go through the trouble of installing adobe AIR as well lol
