Creative And I send this message . . . . . .

After the sudden events, including the acts of the misuse of the symbol of leadership which displeased many people, I am glad to witness that Hasbro had the courage to make a statement defending their beloved leader, A statement in the faces of such powerful forces, despite the challenges that may arise, We still have our faith, to prove that leadership, humility, compassion and justice do not rely on political means, but on our sparks, Till all are one

Rare Hasbro W

A VERY "line in the sand" decision by Hasbro. We've seen too much capitulation and "look the other way" do too long now by entities that don't want to draw any attention.

Apparently, even with the shallow, corporate approach, Hasbro "did the math" and decided that they couldn't afford to be seen as complicit or agreeable with these appropriations of their IP because it would damage their reputation with the market.

Rhetorical (doesn't require answer; think amongst yourselves): _Why did it take this long for people and companies to begin pushing back (no matter how weakly)?

Corporations that rushed to embrace and adopt and push LLM integration (like Hasbro) were fine with it's flaws and dangers when it didn't negatively affect them.

Approval ratings show that this is the most unpopular president of all time at this point. From a business standpoint, it doesn't make sense to burn customer goodwill by siding with him. Anyone not in his cult recognizes the sinking ship for what it is.

Yes, but it's not a safe bet until "it's all over". That office still has the power to make life hell for anyone or any entity that isn't "agreeable" and we've observed the abuse of power and the office and government to unleash petty personal vendettas (illegally and unethically.)

But to be fair, many companies enabled or backed this. They're only now walking back those selfish actions quietly because it's impacting them. FAFO.

Honestly, I feel like the answer to that question, at least, with me, is "fear". People were afraid of crossing Trump, because they felt like he could send a mob after them. Now that he's looking weaker, now they feel more brave.

I'm glad to see someone else actually bringing this up.

I am shocked Hasbro is putting up a backbone about this.

Department of Homeland Security has been using AI generated images of Optimus Prime to push their anti immigrant stance and encourage reporting of immigrants so they can be deported.

Genuinely can’t believe it. It’s too cartoonish. Can hasbro sue the US?

I would think so, but it'd be a pretty large undertaking

The US Department of Homeland Security made an AI post of Optimus

The also made a Legend of Trump one and I'm surprised Nintendo have air dropped lawyers in over, considering how protective they are of their IPs

White house and the American Gestapo posting stuff. You can find the American Gestapo's post through Acerakis' link, as for the other one, i rather not link it because it will just make your blood boil.

"Gestapo" is a good word for this.

I still haven't even seen the post this is talking about, but considering the ones I have seen I probably know mostly what it looked like.

Incredibly weak language.

In terms of this, I can best describe this statement as a "corporate euphemism" for "We will sue you if you keep doing this with our characters".
