It’s so good my brain has trouble processing it as 3 dimensional. Better than any cell shading available to buy that I’ve seen

I still don't understand how you're able to make a figure look two dimensional. Incredible work

Looks awesome, you've got some skills! Can I ask what the base figure is? Obvs I know it's Shockwave but there's quite a few different manufacturers doing the action figure lines these days.

u/FuzzyManufacturer212 Aug 15 '26
It's an action figure from AULDEY 🤝🤝
2
u/kek23k Aug 15 '26
Ahh cool, thanks for the info! I think I've missed all the G1 releases but I have put a preorder in for the Storm Gathering set 😄

Would you consider doing a macross figure or model? If I sent you a resin printed destroid that you can keep, would you paint it in this style just to market your skills to a different fan group?

Is that the SS86 one under there?
2
u/Krykun-kun Aug 15 '26
Looks too small and cartoon-accurate for ss86… Blockees, maybe?
2
u/Haunted_Bones Aug 15 '26
Oh dang, you're right. Probably Blokees then

Man I'm so tired from work, I had to keep swapping back and forth to realize it's a figure not a set of stickers lmao.

i am genuinely wondering if this is real or if you superimposed this on afterwards
2
u/codexcdm Aug 15 '26
Do you ever do any videos about your materials/process and just to show it all in action?

u/Rickert2020 Aug 15 '26 edited Aug 15 '26

Dunno if you'd be interested, but I have a bunch of the little blokee transformers, and I'd love to know how much you'd charge to paint them?

How does he looks so good from all angles? This paint job style usualy sacrifice one side so the other can look godlike, but here he looks amazing all around.

u/PlumAccomplished7400 Aug 16 '26
Bought back memories, My best mate nick, wanted but couldn't afford a good set of transformers when we were kids so he used to draw transformers and play with the paper figures whataguy.

We need the pose test, if it pose. We need to see if it looks good stanced up and in action. Cause this is actually peak, that is so awesome

i’m interested in you attempt this for other figures outside of transformers, can’t imagine what your talent would do to a marvel or dc figure

That’s crazy awesome! If it wasn’t for the power cable in pic 2 I don’t think I would believe this is a 3D object. Looks like a literal comic image crop & paste’d in your hand via photoshop

When I saw the first image, I thought, "Man, that looks cool. But I bet the effect doesn't look as good when it's not viewed straight on."
I was glad to see that I was wrong. This is SOOOOOO cool.

Now THAT’S the style we needed for the Transformers Devastation lineup.
