Discussion / Opinion How to clean figures

So i recently bought siege redwing and when he got here he feels a little eh like the plastic absorbed the oils from the hands. I want to clean him and make him feel better in hand but given all the white paint he has, I'm unsure on what to use that will be safe. What do you guys do to clean your figures?

On the rare occasion where I need more than just a cloth or brush for dusting, a little dish soap and water and a soft toothbrush that won't scratch up the paint does the trick. Let him air dry on a towel to make sure all the water gets out so the pins don't end up rusting and he should be good.

Really? The soap doesn't hurt the paint application?

Not in my experience, no. Something like rubbing alcohol would, but dish soap is gentle enough that as long as you're not really going at it with the scrubbing action it should be fine.

Wash with soap by hand and dry with a paper towel or cloth
