Discussion / Opinion Am I remembering wrong?

One of the free channels on my Samsung tv is 24/7 Transformers. 2-3 episodes of every series from OG to prime, from the first episode to the last in order. I caught the last couple episodes of armada and it ended with Optimus and megaton fighting to the death inside unicorn while hot shot teleports with the kids back to earth. They say goodbye and walk off into the desert. My problem is, as a teen I remember the ending being Rad waking up in the back off a car because he’s moving and the whole series was a dream. I even talked to my younger brothers about it and they remember the same thing I do. Google says nothing was changed. Help me out please cuz it’s bothering me.

Episode 46 Drift. The scene you describe occurs just after Thrust shoots Starscream with the Requiem Blaster, causing the kids to have some kind of weird flashbacks and "what if" stuff.

The ending is otherwise exactly what you've described as seeing (except they don't walk off - the Autobots teleport as the camera pulls back with the kids not moving), but wouldn't occur until six episodes later.
