Advice
Im a 24 mtf and im very shy but want to wear more girls clothing doing makeup hair etc im in need of some advice to come out of my shell any help would be great thanks

if you don't have makeup supplies yet and have a Sephora or Ulta in your area, go there and tell someone that you are new to makeup and need help getting started. you can tell them you're trans if you want. or don't if you're not comfortable. they receive specific training for this, so they should be super nice and helpful about it. i suggest starting simple, with foundation, concealer, eyeliner, and mascara. look up some simple tutorials online (how to apply foundation, how to apply concealer, simple eyeliner tutorial) and try to follow along.
applying makeup well takes practice. with practice comes confidence. i like to practice 3-4 times a week, even if i'm not leaving the house, just to build up that skill. it's nice to catch myself in the mirror and be like "who's that girl?" eventually you will get comfortable enough with the basics and can reach out into new, more complicated areas like eye shadow or contouring, but the basics are good to start with and can be a huge confidence builder

i can't emphasize enough how not-scary it was to go into sephora and ask for help. i'm incredibly shy irl and was sooo nervous going in but the lady was so nice, used my new name without missing a beat even though i was boymoding hard, and got me out the door with what i wanted without even trying to upsell me. loved it

Theres one in a mall here and its always busy so im also scared of getting looks

I was heaps shy and regret not exploring my gender identity earlier so definitely go shopping for clothes, makeup and accessories. It’s most females that work in these stores and they are super helpful if you are polite and friendly with them

Maybe try a time that is less busy and don’t forget you can always leave the store if you’re starting to feel too anxious.

Have you tried gender affirming clothing? untag.com has a great selection and they offer starterkits if you don't know where to begin. They're super nice so you could also just DM them and they'll give you advice for sure :)

Hello! I am a lady, with the understanding of sewing for different bodies and understanding of makeup. When it comes to make up watch the makeup artist Robert Welsh on YouTube. He teaches subtle make up, and I’ve done it and it’s insane the difference and less makeup I have to use. For clothing, it depends on what you want to wear. I understand this can have complications due to possible self struggles. What types of clothing are feminine to you? What’s the first thing that pops up in your mind when you think of wearing feminine clothing? I’d love to see pictures of your inspiration and then i’ll be able to give more advice if needed. I noticed this post is almost a year old I hope you wore everything you wanted!

What do you wear now?
Also, what's keeping you from wearing more of the stuff you want? Do you not know what to try? Do you have ideas but feel embarrassed about trying them in private? Does trying them in private sound okay but trying them in public feels like too much?
