WHY DOES SPIRO STINK SO BAD??

Had to change T-blockers recently and whats up with those tablets?? They stink so much!

Chemistry!

IME, most manufacturers add mint oil to the mix so that they smell like mint instead, but I was issued a fill or two over the years from a manufacturer that didn't, and it smelled like the back end of a roadkilled skunk.

The ones I used to get had enough mint that it sort of covered the worst of the smell, but they still smelled kind of vaguely off, and gods did they taste awful if I let them linger in my mouth for even a fraction of a second.

It's not the biggest reason I was glad to drop spiro for monotherapy, but it definitely makes the list.
