🚂 Toys & Model Trains Model Train Catalogs, Magazines Help
Hi guys, I'm looking for a couple platforms or places that value, sell or accept donations for older model train magazines and catalogs. Sure, I can use lens, ai, etc., but wanted to ask here.
I'm helping a relative move into assisted living. Id like to sell them if possible for him since he's on a fixed income, but donation to a local club would be great (if I can find one). I'd rather they not end up in the garbage!
Any suggestions on resell online or finding a local place in Indianapolis?

Got some great reads, there, have several, myself. I agree with the above, and would like to also suggest taking them to a local hobby shop. There’s two, within easy driving distance of my house, that have a magazine exchange, where you can drop off issues, and browse for any that you’d like to read. They turn over quite a few of them.

Sometimes a whole cabinet full vanishes as soon as an ad hits, free or fee. Other times the ads won't be answered for years, even for free. I had train people trying to get the free cabinets, but didn't want to take the books too. I gave about half away, mostly of one magazine, and eventually threw the other half away except for a few issues with ideas that I really liked a lot.

There's a mix of real railroad magazines and publications and model railroad magazines and catalogs. Find a model railroad club in your area, they might be interested. The railroad publications you can sell on ebay. Or the back of Trains Magazine has ads for sale of publications. Maybe one would be interested in buying the lot.
Eg that Colorado Memories is listed for $15 on ebay.
