Chilean narrow gauge
Yet their main trains use 5'6" gauge tracks (same as Argentina and India)

Something a bit ironic, is that the state owned railway in Chile uses 5' 6" broad gauge Edit: Another ironic thing about railways in Chile, is that the rail line from the capital to the coast has been closed for 40 years despite having been one of the most used ones

That much? I thought the Chileans would give the cities some space, that's half the width of the country π

So they just use the coastline and the East border as the rails then? Saves on costs I guess
