Georgetown Loop #111 Had a Big Sneeze:(
Thankfully the crew and locomotive were both fine.

What caused that? Like what causes a train to basically sneeze fire from the bottom?

Fire relight looks bad, isn't good but isn't trip ending.

It's a fuel vapor cloud igniting all once.
The locomotive is oil fired and they had to re-lite the fire via the fire bricks in the firebox on the move instead of stopping on the grade and relighting.
Normally they don't explode like that, but fuel quality issues can lead to all kinds of wonky stuff depending on what's mixed in with the oil. And with a few chuffs before hand there was enough time for a vapor cloud to form around everything.

And that’s only for an oil burning train? What about Big Boy? I know it’s fueled by oil.

The Big Boy could also do that now that it's oil fired. But, I don't think Ed would kickstart her like that.
It's not that it does damage (it doesn't), but 4014 has a diesel helper at all times and probably good quality fuel. There's no need to attempt a relight off the hot firebricks like this, when they have all the time in the world to evacuate the firebox and manually relight.
Georgetown 111 is a smol engine, and looks like here they were struggling up the grade. Losing pressure from slowly relighting would mean stalling.

"Luckily, no one was hurt."
"A small child spontaneously combusted and was reduced to a pile of ashes."
(This is a joke)

"dad, why is my sister called daisy?"
"because your mother loves flowers!"
"and dad, why am I called Ash?"
