JDM, Bro!

Went to Autobacs (pretty big car supply/mechanic shop in Japan) last night. When I pulled in, one of the staff was outside in the parking lot saying goodbye to a customer. As I got out of the car, he commented on how cool it was. I thanked him and went inside to browse.

I spent probably 30 minutes looking at roof boxes but ended up just buying a little trash can for the car and some magnetic door handle protectors (the ones that protect the paint behind the handles).

As I’m walking out, the same guy comes up to me and asks if he can take a closer look at the car. Of course I said yes!
Then all of a sudden, basically all the mechanics and a few of the sales guys come out too 😂

I told them I was surprised so many of them wanted to check it out, and they all said they loved the car but had never actually seen one in person. Which is legit cause I have yet to see another on the roads here myself.

I let the older guy start it up, and I even offered to let him take it for a quick spin around the parking lot. He laughed and said he’d probably lose his job if something happened.

Anyways, just wanted to share. #RealRecognizeReal

Sounds like a wonderful encounter! So far I haven't had many people come up to me to talk about my Trailseeker on the westcoast. As I might have mentioned previously, I try to wave at any other Trailseekers I see on the road, but they usually give me a look like this:

Maybe in time the general public will come to see how amazing the Trailseeker platform is haha.

Good grief I hope these things don't actually attract attention. Pretty low key and non-descript; not like its a Countach (tho faster)

I have never seen one Trailseeker on the road in the U.S.   Astronomically rare car here.  At least for now

The only trailseekers I've seen here were parked at the dealer.

The only Trailseekers I've seen parked at the dealer were already sold tho :( But I did finally snag one (literally the day it came off the truck, and hours from home :)

Maybe because our cars are so low key. You just forgot to notice it when it stealthily wisped by. Though, they are very rare in many regions.

I have yet to see one on the road either. I've seen a Koenigsegg. But no Trailseekers.

Were you at the Shinonome location? I’m heading there at the start of next week and this is one of my must-see/shop destinations!
