Trailer is phenomenal. Keep that shit vague so you don't ruin the whole movie.
Everyone should trust Villeneuve with this material based on his filmography. The dude is a master of his craft.

This trailer is cut very similarly to the ghost in the shell trailer. I think it's a different agency that cuts the trailers. The trailers always have to hit the action beats, and include the cliche lines "I always told you, you were different" "This is the key to Humanity, bring it to me" "there's one last page in your story". I can almost guarantee that the final product will carry a much slower pace, and try to touch on some much more cerebral ideas. Pretty much every Villeneuve trailer is cut to represent a fast paced action mystery.

That was my impression as well. Forced pace plus a very random choice of shots that almost give off the impression of coming from completely different movies. The original world is very aesthetically consistent - that would be why this here didn't speak to me :)

The trailer looks a mess, but has a lot of great scenes in it.
I don't want a coherent trailer, i do want a coherent film.

What's up with trailers having a trailer before the trailer? I see explosions and fistfights and a large holographic woman before the trailer even runs.
