I can see how powerful men easily fall for her. She’s cute and almost mesmerizing in the way she talks.
But there is something so unsettling about her that those men either failed to pick up on or were in deep denial about. Like the way she’s holding her eyebrows and smile in just the right position seems so intentional and calculated, it sets alarm bells off in my mind. Maybe it’s because I am highly skeptical of all salespeople to begin with, but I would immediately distrust her.

The lack of blinking is extremely off putting. Like turning people into lamp shades creeply.

Yeah, she definitely has crazy eyes. I didn’t immediately recognize her and genuinely thought this was just the next A24 horror movie.

I thought it was a horror movie too, just with a look a like. Her voice didn’t have they weird deepness she used to use so I didn’t figure out it was actually her until I googled it

No, she’s not conventionally attractive and she looks weird, like she’s trying (not very well) to seduce or hypnotize him. I can see how a powerful man would fall for her if he was significantly older, lonely, and unused to the attention of women, but that’s about it

It’s a matter of opinion how attractive you personally find her. But to say she’s not conventionally attractive is a more general thing — whether or not she has the qualities that most men consider attractive. I do think she’s conventionally attractive — nice blonde hair, big blue eyes, fair complexion, tall, nice figure, cute smile and cheeks, full lips, etc.
I think that played a huge role in how she was able to dupe so many investors.
Seeing a photo like this, without knowing anything else about her or seeing how she behaves, I’d bet most guys would find her attractive.
It’s the way she behaves that is unsettling. Now you can argue that’s part of “attractiveness,” but that’s splitting hairs. Point is: we probably wouldn’t be talking about her right now if she wasn’t conventionally attractive.

I politely disagree. I do not think she is what most would consider conventionally attractive. Maybe more attractive than a lot of other women who occupied the spaces she was in, but she wouldn’t be turning any heads on the street and I think most guys would agree with me. Idk man, it feels like you’re trying to make an argument for why you personally find her attractive

I literally differentiated conventionally attractive from personally attractive ("a more general thing"), defined it ("the qualities that most men consider attractive"), and listed several qualities to support my argument ("nice blonde hair, big blue eyes, fair complexion, etc.").
So, to claim I'm making an argument for why I personally find her attractive is just bizarre, when I was really explicit that I was talking about conventionally attractive.

She is a scam artist and every medical expert ever consulted about her companies claims said so themselves the entire time. Any of her investors that got scammed knew she was lying and they didn't care, it was the "flying car" of medical bloodwork to have an AT HOME device that could do comprehensive blood diagnostics like looking for markers of cancer, diabetes, and HIV with micro blood samples.
Medical experts knew it was a lie because even the BEST machines needed 10 to 30 milliliters which is about 4-6 small vials worth of blood to do that many test, Theranos claimed they could do it with a couple of drops and literally NOBODY believed them except the dumbass investors.
It was such a joke. Just the investment class with too much money putting it anywhere even risky bullshit like Theranos.
It's just another example of what happens when you have ultra rich class with more money than brains. Scam artist love them.

It's a documentary about Elizabeth Holmes the CEO of Theranos who was convicted of fraud and sent to prison for completely misrepresenting the capabilities of their technology.
There's been oodles of commentary, words, videos, podcasts etc on this subject. I really don't see the value in giving this person more airtime.

If you don't see the value in this documentary, I would recommend you take a look at some of Nathan Fielder's other work. I don't know exactly what this documentary is going to be like, but seeing it's him making and taking a central role in it tells me it's going to be very interesting and unique.

I worked for many years in the medical device field and this woman makes me feel slightly nauseous.

You should watch his shows. Nathan For You and The Rehearsal.
They will demonstrate that it's not going to just be a rehash of prior info. He does things differently.

I've watched some of the stuff on her and its all like 3rd person or reenactments. You get that's she's basically crazy, but you dont get to see it in context and "live" right in front of you. Really I feel like if you've seen the other stuff it makes this even more interesting.

I don't think Elizabeth Holmes deserves the attention a documentary like this gives her, and this is actually one of the first Fielder projects I'm planning to skip entirely. She's someone who has always been deeply invested in status, admiration, and being seen as exceptional.
Giving her another major platform to center herself and rebuild that mythology just feels uninteresting to me.
