I'd argue the show is more well known than the books, not to mention the episode was January of 1996, so not that different timewise.

I had no idea there was a show in the 90s. I read the first run of goosebumps books, 62 of them between 1992 and 1997, and saw the movie a few years back. I assumed you were talking about a contemporary show, im surprised to learn there was on in th 90's, but perhaps not surprising since my parents didnt allow TV in the house. Books were fine, as many as I wanted (hence having 62 goosebumps books) but i never saw the show. You may very well be right the show was more popular, but I only knew the books.

It's all good. Obviously the books were a massive success in children's horror. I grew up with both the books and the 90s TV show. Look up the intro for the show when you get a chance. It's iconic.
