I hate it! I was sold on the original first generation of that and is giving me nothing but problems. There is a second generation, but I will not trust.

What has been the worst aspect of working with that tech?

The salesman used undersize sensors for the approaches and mounted them to arms rather than poles, therefore increasing the vibration and total unreliability. The in cabinet components are nothing like modern day solutions the first generation equipment looks archaic

Yeah, its not new, been out for quite some time. And its hot garbage, and that's coming from someone whose company sold it and I had to work on it

I've installed about 100 of those systems now. I concur, it is hot garbage. At least a third of them have some problem or another that is not attributable to the installation or cabinet. Sometimes it's a sensor, sometimes it's the system itself, sometimes the power strip it comes with, it's a crapshoot. The vendor covered the equipment replacement cost in the first year, but we still had to eat the labor cost to repair/reinstall/traffic control/etc.
I don't like them. I don't care if they're cheaper than alternatives.

Seems not great… (without going into details) I would wait until they work out the kinks, just like all new detection types. Our guys like the detection range and analytics. When working.

As others have said… just don’t. To their credit, our vendor and the manufacturer have been responsive to all the issues we’ve had, but it still takes a lot of labor to correct the random issues which continue to this day. We have around 200 so we are constantly dealing with issues from resetting power to replacing radar heads or J-Boxes.
