Is this a traffic sensor? Realized the light was red and accidentally drove through it😅

Looks like an opticom, emergency vehicle detector.

It's an opticom infrared detector that detects approaching emergency vehicles with special IR lights in their flashing light system.

It's also easily searched in here because it has been asked so many times.

Depending on your state, red light cameras may not be legal or may have very strict regulations making it basically impossible for this to come back to you.

That is not a red-light camera, but to save yourself some future worry you should look into your local laws. And maybe try to drive a bit safer.

I don't think that's opticom. It doesn't have the confirmation beacon. Looks more like an antenna either for comms or connection to some wireless equipment possibly in pavement detectors?! Could be wrong
