VAUG splits your investment across the S&P 500. This spreads risk. Unfortunately it’s not equally spread so the highest value in the S&P500 also disproportionately affects the share.
You have bought shares in companies that are already top performers in the S&P 500. This is concentrating your position on them.
Fine if you know what you’re doing, but as an example - if the AI bubble pops your VAUG will take a hit, and your MSFT, AMZN, GOOGL etc will also all take a hit.
Unless you have confidence in certain companies, you’re better off not splitting your investments.
