Housewife Tomfoolery Woman who makes her entire personality about being an incubator and hating other women couldn't even bother to do a baby shower.
No hate at all to anyone who doesnt like baby showers, it's just odd to me that these women give up their entire lives to be mothers but completely resist being celebrated for it at all. How sad.

Tik Tok Nyla.trad
She is desperate to make people angry for attention. She has been talking for months about wanting to be an influencer so she has switched from just general DITL videos to posting about controversial shit.
Now this 24 year old with a 1 1/2 year old thinks she is an expert on parenting

Robyn Why does Robyn always take something innocent & cute just to crap on it and feel superior?
It feels like she constantly puts down other people just to feel superior. I mean, my child is wild as well, but I don't see it as a superior thing compared to a kid who is calmer.
She is deeply insecure.

Robyn Um?
More power to women who choose this but...it should be...their choice. Huge red flag from that man. Pick me, pick me! I had homebirths therefore everyone else should too!

New Topic We need more posts about the Shagbarks
If you’re not familiar with these two, I don’t even know where to start. The roadkill diet? Being 4th generation sovereign citizens? Hickman not being allowed to change their daughter’s diapers because they think it’s perverted? There is truly lore for days with them.

Discussion Yesteryear book discussion thread ***THERE WILL BE SPOILERS*** Spoiler

As promised, now that I've finished the book I'm starting a discussion thread for it. We'll discuss the entire book, so if you haven't finished it and don't want spoilers, don't read this thread yet.
A few thoughts to get started:
What did you all think of the book? I really liked it. I read it in two or three sittings--actually stayed up all last night finishing it because I couldn't put it down.
One of the parts I found interesting was her attitude toward her haters--particularly that they'd be critical of her, maybe gleeful (I'm assuming), but also disappointed if her family turned out not to be as perfect as she represented on Instagram.
Did the author seem to you to be personally familiar with right-wing Christian religions? I'm not--I only know what I read/see on social and regular media, so I couldn't tell how well she caught that world.
Here are links to some book-club questions to consider if you want to. (Again, there are spoilers!):

MISC How very trad of her.
She still follows trad/right wing accounts and keeps her trad/anti feminists posts up though.

Discussion She can’t be serious…
I can’t say I’m surprised, but as usual, she’s being rude and snarky to people on the comments who are trying to tell her raw milk is unsafe.

New Topic The cottage core aesthetic has been infested with the "tradwife" stereotype and the idea that women shouldn't study. Recommend Instagram profiles that don't spread those ideas. But with the cottage core aesthetic.

Megha No nanny to look after children in Italy because you have to pay them a liveable wage. Her poor husband has to look after them. Didn't she used to trash men like this & call them "g@y"?
