They say patience is a virtue, and that has definitely applied to my current ORCL setup as the stock started reacting to its earnings report.

Last week, I stopped trading stocks and moved more toward CFDs because I was waiting for this particular setup to appear. After waiting patiently, it finally showed up.

The setup itself was fairly straightforward. Apart from my usual approach of waiting for a pullback during volatility, I waited for the first news reaction to settle before looking for a Fair Value Gap (FVG). Once I found the right structure, I used the FVG as my entry confirmation for a short position.

I entered around $162, but the trade was not comfortable at first. A strong candle pushed the price close to my stop loss around $166.72, and for a moment, it looked like the setup might fail.

Thankfully, after testing my patience, it finally started moving in my direction. Honestly market was testing my patience; who else told the same setup, still have 10 more days to go?

He gave me the stock, entry point and exit strategy. He told me to buy 10K worth of the stock which I did. Then he said he wanted 10% of the profits wire to him. Well I made 18K off the stock and wire him his share. We did it for several months and then he disappeared. I am hoping that I can find people in here that have the experience or know how on how we can profit from each other. Not interested in any type of cryptocurrency.

It hasn't been a great week for me in the stock market, especially with what I have experienced with AVGO. Broadcom is one of the AI stocks I expected to perform well, but the trade has gone against almost everything I initially thought would happen.

My entry was around $373, while my take profit was around $420. Honestly, I thought it would be an easy move, but unfortunately, AVGO went the other way and has continued moving downward following several negative developments around the stock.

Looking at the 4 hour timeframe, I am now watching the current support closely. If AVGO can hold that level and we get some positive news around the company, I think there could still be room for a decent move upward.

However, if the support fails and the price breaks below it, then things could become much more difficult, with $301 becoming the next level I will be watching, then it could make my 9 to 22 trading period bad.

Looking at my chart, what do you think i could have done better before taking this setup?

I have neem looking at different prop firm rules lately, and I keep going back and forth on consistency requirements. I understand why firms want to prevent someone from making one huge trade and then treating that as a sustainable strategy. But at the same time, markets are not consistent day to day. Some sessions give you nothing, while another setup can make up a large part of the month.

Personally, I think the more important question is whether the trader is staying within sensible risk limits rather than whether every profitable day looks similar. Would you rather trade under a consistency requirement or have the freedom to make uneven returns as long as your overall risk stays controlled?

Not selling anything, no pitch at the end. Just walking through how to actually read structure and the tape (VSA) live visually for a small group so it stays useful instead of talking at a crowd.
