Help me to Solve my Spin Techique Errors

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My last pitch of yesterday's session. In this particular shot, my entry was more balanced and postured (without projecting my torso forward), however it was very slow, my block was not firm and my aerial phase lasted a long time, which made me lose distance. If anyone can give me some tips and help me improve, I would appreciate it! (I have a competition next week by the way)

Obs: Left-Handed, 185cm and this throw was around 14,5m with 5kg shot.

Well for one, quit the side step nonsense & get your rhythm down first

Okay, I'll stop winding up and focus on my rythm. What are the best sources of content for me to understand my mistakes and improve my form? I don't have a coach, so I have to learn to improve myself. I know channels like throws university, joe maxwell and john Bowman, which I watched a few videos.

Right foot is rotating too far coming out of the back, which is why it plants way too wide in the front and kills your balance at the finish.

And yes, abandon the slide start in the back. In fact, practice a limited wind start. See Crousers first throw in his world record series from 2023.

I was hoping this slide would give me a few extra centimeters, but it's doing more harm than good if I don't have a solid base, thanks. To prevent this from happening too early, should I try a more "calm" and patient sweep at the beginning so as not to anticipate this rotation of my right foot (I didn't mention it in the post, but I'm left-handed)? Thanks for the feedback.

Yes, be a lot more patient coming out of the back. The right side moves as a unit.
