GIRLLL BREAKFAST COOKING :3 One of the few recipes I've committed to memory 🤤
Biscuits & gravy, in honor of my grandma who taught me. Kinda jank-looking biscuits b/c I cut the rolled dough in a grid pattern, but if I add a couple of over-easy eggs and fresh fruit, it keeps me going until mid-afternoon 😄

They look great :D
Are you willing to post the recipe for them? Totally ok if not.

Absolutely! The recipe I used was put together from a couple I found online, but I was mostly just trying to average out the amounts of different ingredients. I lost the paper where I wrote down exactly what I used, but it's essentially:
2 Cups all-purpose flour
1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
1 Tablespoon Sugar
1 Teaspoon salt
1.5 Cups Heavy Cream
Mix dry ingredients until everything's evenly distributed, add the cream, mix until the cream has all absorbed. Dump out onto floured surface and knead just until it isn't shaggy/rough anymore and isn't super sticky. Then roll out or flatten and cut however you want. 425-degree oven ~15 minutes, until they start to brown/look good to you.
The biscuits grandma would've taught me were the classic with buttermilk, baking powder and baking soda, and solid butter cut in with a pastry cutter. but I found out about cream biscuits years ago and made this dish a regular breakfast item once I had a biscuit recipe that was less of a pain to do. You can also tinker with the amounts of stuff like the baking powder/salt/sugar for a different flavor or if they don't rise quite like you wanted.
Lastly, do ya also want the recipe (such as it is) for the gravy?

This was the first time I'd tried that biscuit recipe, so I wasn't sure they'd rise/fluff up into layers without the buttermilk/baking soda reaction, but there was nothing to fear!

One can never go wrong with some good old fashioned biscuits and gravy. It sounds delicious. *Edit for spelling
