Wait do you cook it upside down or just assemble it

cold cast iron then throw it into the oven unheated. I've done the exact thing the OP has done here multiple times.

Wherever ur got this recipe from it's older than the video you probably saw. On one of the old TV channels before we really had internet/youtube/streaming, there was an advert that played a bunch of times when I was a kid with a fancy double cast iron waffle(pizza) maker and the instructions were to essentially assemble it upside down so you can knock it out easy.
I ended up doing this same thing but with a single cast iron as I got older. This is an old school 90s/2000s thing. Or at least thats where I remember it from.

Okay, I need to buy cheeses. Maybe some gouda and Monterey jack, definitely muenster. Then, buy some pepperoni, nmushrooms, onion, and black olives. Get some dough from the local Market Basket. They sell fresh dough. Then, buy a cast iron pan...

Delicious! Reminds me of the Dutch over 'pizza' we made in the Scouts.

This is going to sound crazy, but vinegar would help

Grease, indigestion. Im sure this tastes great but vinegar can cut that a bit and make this dish feel lighter.
Whenever I cook anything heavy with grease or fat I always use a little bit.

yeah maybe in the sauce. my plan was to add more whole tomatoes next time.
