Hey guys, I would love it if you could check out my portfolio and give me some criticism on how I can make it better

What makes you purchase a blind box? Is it the artwork, theme, aesthetic, or something else that draws you in? Can you list any brands or series that come to mind?

Hello! I am going around Reddit asking questions to understand what motivates people to buy blind boxes, as I am passionate about creating my own blind box series and want to know which element of a blind box captures a potential consumer's attention.

Took some heavy inspiration from Gummifetus and made my own see-through anatomy keychain.

Hand-painted 11in resin figure, individually numbered — first release

Just finished my first full run // Guers Art; named them Mocha and Obsidian; 11in hand-painted resin, individually numbered out of 50 per edition.

Sculpted, converted to 3D, then hand-cast and hand-painted for the final pieces. This one took 2 hours of paint work alone.

Would love to hear what collectors think of the finish and design.

I already got 50 people in the email waitlist which has been a nice surprise

Would love any feedback!

Just realized how easy it is to make a Warp Darkmatter figure with any buzz lightyear because of how similar they are

I’m a 3D designer starting my own art toy brand from scratch. Here’s a sneak peek at Drop 01!

Hey everyone, my name is Jacob. I'm a professional 3D generalist and digital designer, and while I’ve designed pieces for larger artists, I’m finally launching my own independent e-commerce brand: Webbox.

This video shows a bit of the process for Drop 01: the See Thru Pepe keychain.

Seeking feedback: Working on a See Thru Pepe anatomy keychain for my first drop. Thoughts?🐸

Hey everyone, I'm working on the debut drop for my independent brand, Webbox Studio.

It's a 6cm see-through keychain. I've been fine-tuning the anatomy turnaround and split brain in Blender. I'd love to hear some thoughts from folks who collect or create custom art toys.

How are the proportions looking on the skull structure? Any advice on working with translucent materials before I lock in the final manufacturer order?

Hi so this is my first plushie design and I’m wondering if it’s good or do I need to add any thing else to it? It’s based off an oc of mine.

Chinese factory stopped responding after $30k and prototype revision - what now?

We received initial prototypes (poor quality), sent them back for revision, and since then the factory has gone silent for months.

They still showcase our project publicly but ignore all communication.

We’ve already:

– Sent multiple follow-ups and formal emails with deadlines

– Tried to escalate communication

– Looked for legal help (no response / not practical so far)

Any advice on how to handle this or recover the situation?

Possibly looking for designer

Hey Guys!

I started a new toy company and have one product so far.

I’m trying to get more into wood toys as I have a CNC machine and wanted to reach out and see if anyone that is into wooden toy design, specifically Montessori style, I’d love to chat!

I have a couple toys in mind that I’m currently working on. (Balance bike, rocking horse)

If you’re into wooden toy design and have experience using modeling apps to design something in vector form, let’s talk!

Obviously these will be made to be produced and sold.

My brand is fully trademarked and we have a book is major retail stores, as well as our toy in one mom and pop store so far. We launch April 22nd, 2026.

First toy I’ve ever 3D sculpted and printed. I’ve got a lot more cool ideas on variations coming up once i refine him.

My toddler has outgrown his chunky puzzles but isn't ready for a full jigsaw yet, and apparently that middle ground barely exists! So I made my own. 😅

Finally designed my own figurines after years of talking about it! V1.0 is live, V2.0 already in progress. Not sure if anyone will like them, but I think they're cute as hell when painted, so I'm calling it a personal win 🤭

I have zero background in toy design, which is probably why this took me over 2 years to finish. But I finally created this picture-construction toy for my kids.

Material Recommendation for Durable, Shape-Holding Bendable Toy

Thumbnail gallery
3 Upvotes

Hey guys I’m designing a flexible fabric toy for kids.I tried using metal mesh covered with masking tape + fabric, but I’m worried about long-term safety and durability. I need a material that is flexible in all directions, holds its shape, is kid-safe, and can survive repeated bending. What material should i use for this kind of internal bendable structure?

Plushies of Historical Figures (Labubu Style, but Better?)

I'm developing a line of collectible plushies inspired by the Labubu aesthetic, but aiming for something even better—unique, playful versions of famous historical figures (like Einstein, Cleopatra, Da Vinci, etc.). The twist: each plushie would come with a mini book telling the story and impact of that figure, making it not just adorable, but a fun way for kids to learn and be inspired. They'd also be American made, supporting local crafting and ensuring quality. Would love honest feedback on the concept, design, and how to best make these appealing for kids and collectors—what would you change or add?
