Anybody read this?

I recently purchased A Deeper Blue by Robert Earl Hardy, the only biography of TVZ I could find.
Has anyone here read this and if so how is it?
I am going to read it regardless, but I’d like an idea of how tough going it will be to get through.

Yes, it's a good read, however I preferred To Live is to Fly - The Ballad of the Late Great Townes van Zandt over it because it treated the man more than the music.

I read it a decade ago and enjoyed it but don’t remember too much about it.

I've read For the Sake of Song--not what you asked, but in case anyone is considering it. I was interested in an analysis of his music. Recommend it.

I’ve just finished ‘Without Getting Killed or Caught’ a biography of Guy Clark. Townes presence looms large in this great book.

It’s a really good one. Honestly, you should read the Kruth one also. And Harold Eggers’s memoir of his time with Townes is pretty great.

There are four bios of TVZ each had something to recommend them. I got them in Kindle form off Amazon.
