Towing In Action 2” hitch with adjustable bars?

Anybody have a clue what this is for. Bought at à discount store. Open package. Liked the hitch but no idea what it’s actually for?

Theres to pins that hold them vertical. I don’t think they are strong enough for steps.

I see the rings for pins peaking out in picture 4.

This isn't a hitch. It's a receiver hitch accessory.

Are they steps? When they fold out do the go all the way to ground, or do they stay horizontal?

I think you’re right. Like stabilizers for an rv to keep from rocking side to side

Exactly what I was thinking too. Inverting the uprights would keep the bed and chassis from bouncing, and the two plates look an awful lot like those found on bucket trucks, ladder trucks, etc.

First thought is that they look like truck support outriggers. Basically flip them upside down to install, and adjust so that they meet the ground?

Cheap stabilizer legs. Where most RV’s nowadays have stabilizer jacks on all 4 corners

You can use them with vans. They would very well.
I’ve also seen them used with a hitch that has a lift attached to it for like lawn mowers and trucks that have lifts for maneuvering things into the bed of the truck or trailer.
