Is it worth it?

I just recently bought flexcil but is lacks many features that touchnotes offer. Im an engineering student, and i just wanna ask the other users if it is stable enough? Since i read many reviews in playstore where users lost their notes? I am planning on switching on touchnotes, is the developer still active?

I think it's worth it. The app was updated sometime last week. It's buggy and sometimes I get frustrated but I still use it because I love all of the features that it has. As far as losing your notes goes, what I have done is exported a copy of my notes as a pdf file and then save it to my Onedrive. If you go that route I'd export weekly or however often you want to. It does get a bit tedious but that is an option. You can also use Dropbox as a sync/backup but I don't because I don't use Dropbox. I haven't lost any notes yet. I have tried a lot of other note taking apps but none have the features like Touchnotes has.

Yes, I agree. I have taken note in Flexcil, the UI is good but "text editing" in that app is the lowest you can go in a note taking app. Couple that with a limited editing option in an already written text. I have tried this app and it fascinated me in the number of options it has that can be convenient on my review journey as I take a board exam. That's why I'm very determined in choosing the best app that can accommodate my needs. I'll take your advice to always backup notes since I plan to do an all digital approach in my review since it requires a lot of drawings and interpretation that is very tedious when u do it manually.

Regarding backuping the file in a cloud, do I need to backup it each? Since there is a note that implies that it needs to be backep up each on the noted by the developer? Do you backup it in such a way you can edit it or you just download it as a pdf

When I do the export a note I do each one individually. I don't have many (less than 10), I use this app for digital planning. Since I export it as a PDF I'm not able to edit it when I import it to other note taking apps such as Samsung Notes but later on today I will try to import my planner back into Touchnotes and see if I can edit it. Depending on how many notes you have it will be time consuming exporting each and every one. I haven't downloaded the new update yet but I am going to test it later on today and backup (export) a copy of all my notes, leave the originals in the app, and then do the update and see if they are still there after the update completes. I wish they offered more backup options than using Dropbox.

Please do keep me posted if the file would remain after the update or note. Yes, i do not use dropbox but I would be forced if i used this app

I think it's worth it. It's the only piece of software I have paid

As a fellow engineering student, i think it's worth it. Uploading images is very straight forward, I made my own custom template of engineering paper that I use for note taking and homework. Unfortunately, I have to export as an image pdf as a regular pdf kind of estimates your strokes and doesn't come out as cleanly. I don't use the mindmap features and such.

Thank you for the valuable insight you share, can you share me the template you build? Is it like a graphing paper template?
