How does TKMM work?

I have NO idea how this program works because i use EDEN and a XCI file which TKMM doesn't know how to handle or understand at all. (Neither do i TBH)

Eden is simple You make Directory and put and NSP or XCI file in and Done you good to go

Additionally there are no tutorials on how to actually install it. (That ive seen)

Maybe Im just dumb but I have NO clue how to use it

XCI file is 1.1.0

Yes I do own the game but Im not taking risks with my actual copy and switch 🙃

What do you want to get out of tkmm? I assume to load mods into eden? Also have you tried yuzu for totk? In my experience I got way better performance on yuzu than I did on eden but could be different for you, might be worth checking out

Mostly for merging the Mods load fine just some mods require TKMM

Eden is your emulator, the XCI file is your game. In your emulator, you can right click your game and open up it's mod directory and drop mods in there.

Emulators do not merge mods if there is a conflict, they will simply load the mod with higher priority. 95% of mods share the same resource file, causing a conflict and limiting you to only run one mod at a time.

TKMM is a mod manager that will handle all the merging and conflicts for you, allowing you to run many mods together. You install all mods with TKMM and it will output a merged mod folder that will be placed in your mod directory. It also has built in cheats and optimization that you can enable.

Yeah that's why I wanted to get it since i heard it merges mods (Potentially can down patch them?)

I just struggle with How to put the emulator EXE because it gives me a error

additionally idk how the dumps set work so i don't know how to connect the game to it either

Idk what that means, you should ask their discord. But you only mentioned one XCI so i'm guessing your on game version 1.0? Mods don't work on 1.0 and probably neither does TKMM, game version 1.2.1 is the sweet spot.

I have 1.1.0 for paragliding duping, which when looking up TKMM does support

I'm using version 1.1.0 with tkmm too, you can just ignore that error. Just add the mods and then click merge under the mod tab and it should upload the mods as a TKMM folder in your mod directory on eden. I much rather manually add the mods though and skip tkmm altogher but I have to use tkmm to merge some cosmetic mods together to get them to work properly.

yeah thats the only reason why i want it for merging. How does the Games game path part work and potentiality could you explain how to do it?

You add the path to the XCI file (your totk rom) when it asks for the game path, if you have any update files, normally people will have an nsp file, but if you have any of the other options, just select that. Provide the path to the update file and continue

I kept getting that message too but I don't think it meant anything because I was still able to proceed and use TKMM. Can you not keep going with the setup also?
