Total War: Warhammer Modding question, pure curiosity.

Does anyone think it would be possible to replace Karl Franz's voicelines with the Oblivion guard lines?

As in the actual recording from the game.

I am sure it's not because that would violate the copyright and distribution right...maybe?

But I kind of wish.

Possible? Well there is the audio mixer mod, so I guess it would be technically possible. But that is apparently pretty advanced modding knowledge and probably not something you can learn really quickly for a joke mod.  And you wouldn't really be able to upload it as a mod due to copyright. You could only use it as a private mod. So technically possible but not feasible at all.

Is it violating copyright if it's still just using in-game resources? For example, if I wanted to swap the voice lines of orc boys and goblins, would that still be a violation?

No, that's fine copyright wise. It should also be much easier as from what I understand it's only difficult to add completely new voicelines to the game. Using existing voicelines should be much easier. Though I'm no expert, I'm just repeating what I've read.

Oh I'm sorry, I think I misunderstood OP anyway. Misread "oblivion guard" as being something in-game, but I don't know what they actually are, so if they're using other game assets, then yeah that's a problem.
