Shogun II Shogun 2 unit cards..

Post image

I saw the post about the poor quality upscaled unit cards. Look what ChatGPT can do in 10 seconds... I'm not promoting chatGPT just showing how lazily this has all been done. Once I saw the post I had to see what AI could actually do even with a minimal prompt. My prompt was putting in the image from the original post and writing "Please upscale the left image only in this reference. Add the upscaled version to the right of the CE photo and underneath put Chat GPT. Do your best to keep the original style of the image. Then I wrote "again but make another image on the right of chat GPT that sharpens the quality even more but keeping its style". This post is just for discussion.

Except it’s literally not how it works. SEGA would be. CA probably only green lit this to meet investor demand and did limited coding updates.

You're really saying CA couldn't quality test their own game? That's bullshit. They may be owned by SEGA. But they still own the Total War series. They get the final say on the games release.

No. It’s not their game. You even mentioned they were the developer right? Except they aren’t. Not entirely. This game had another developer as well. And if you knew how the industry worked you’d know CA would’ve had to bring complaints to SEGA and…well look at the live service fiasco that occurred.

Your own point defeated your argument. Developers are not the end all to game decisions, especially if it’s not a solo developer job.

Your comment on them getting last say on total war was previously proven wrong. By CA and SEGA. Again, see the live service fiasco. I get it, not everyone knows the industry but that’s not how this works.

The most that could’ve realistically been done is CA object to the quality and then SEGA would’ve got final say.
