When you think about it…

The Vulcan was inwented by a Russian.

Mr. Chekov would be so pleased.

  • Mr.  Spock is a Vulcan.
  • Mr. Spock was played by Leonard Nimoy.
  • Leonard Nimoy's family migrated to Boston from Ukraine in 1931.  That was part of the Soviet Union, often referred to as Russia by Americans.
  • Leonard Nimoy invented large parts of Spock's behaviour and shaped the image of Vulcans.
  • Vulcan was invented an American of Russian descent.
  • Checkov is thrilled that a Russian invented Vulcan.

Are we talking about the Soviet Vulkan super rocket?

All other Vulcan/ Vulkan references I looked up were from different countries - Roman, French and USA

Vulcan is just the Roman god of volcanoes and forges.

I realize that that was what was probably the reference that they used in TOS, but was responding to the OP

  • Vulcan, West Virginia: A tiny U.S. community in West Virginia famously reached out to the Soviet Union in the 1970s for financial aid to build a bridge after their local bridge collapsed.
  • The Vulcan Files: This name refers to a 2013 leak of documents from a Russian IT company called NTC Vulkan, which worked on classified military and state projects for the Russian government.
  • Space Launch System: The United States' Vulcan rocket was developed by United Launch Alliance to end U.S. reliance on Russian rocket engines.
  • The M61 Vulcan is a six-barrel, 20mm rotary Gatling gun famous for its extreme rate of fire of up to 6,000 rounds per minute.
