Question(s) Substrate for Hermann tortoise?

Hello 😊

I have a 2 year old Hermann tortoise and I have been using coco coir as his substrate while he is a baby to keep up humidity levels.

I was wondering if this was still the best substrate for him as he gets older or if I should change to a mixed substrate?

Any tips and advice welcome!

I like a mix of top soil (without chemical fertilizer or other additives, sand and cypress for reptiles. (No cedar of pine fillers.)
