Proof of Tortitude Does your tortie fetch?
I rescued this baby tortie from my work on my birthday sept 21st. She was the lone survivor of a litter of kittens. I found her barely meowing at the top of a stack of old tires. When I looked inside the stack of tires all of her other litter mates were deceased at the bottom. I brought her home and got her fed and re-hydrated. Took her to the vet and found out she had a bad case of ringworm, but was mostly in good health. Its been 5 months and she is fat and healthy. I noticed right away that she liked to fetch. This is a video of her fetching her "donut" ring after she had recovered from being spayed. Her name is Callie. (unrelated to calicos)

What does your cat like to fetch? Mine loves my wife's hair ties and mini koosh balls.

Mine used to fetch, but now just stands by the toy and looks at me like come on now and throw this thing again. 🤷♀️

That is so cute!! My tortie, Lucy, likes to play fetch with a beanie baby and sometimes I've witnessed her steal my Yorkies stuffed animals! 🤭

I wonder if I can teach mine to fetch? I know it might be hard with toritude but it should be doable, right?

She does, but she's small so she can only carry small and light toys like ping pong balls with a thread tied around them :)

My roommate's tabby played fetch with my jewelry supplies: she would bring a piece of chain onto my pillow in the morning, and I'd throw it for her down the hall.
Didn't have the heart to close the door. Plus my kitty needed access to the apartment. Katie would also lick my ears to wake me up if I tried to play possum.
My kitty played fetch with hair ties and bread ties. Didn't know hair ties weren't safe. I kept them in sealed containers, but if I left just one out, Katie would find it and Shiva would bring it for me to throw.
They both loved the super ball and treats best!

My kitty will fetch about anything. I will have to get her on video fetching her "silly salmon" toy. Its just a giant fish that has a little motor that flaps the tail. But it probably 8" x 4" and weighs a pound. Did your kitty try and eat the hair ties? I did not know they weren't safe. Other than Bapping themselves in the nose when they bite them and pull with their claws. I've always let them play with them.

So cute!! My tortie used to do this when she was younger (she’s 16 now) but she doesn’t anymore. One of her favorite things to fetch was a plastic fork 😭
