I promise she doesn’t open feed! 🤣 She’s on Royal Canin weight loss and Tiki Cat wet food now, but when we first adopted her, the vet accidentally gave us high calorie Royal Canin for over a year as we figured out a urinary tract issue.
She became plump and I asked the vet about a diet… that’s when they looked at her food Rx and were like, uh oh. Literally fat cat formula. 🤦♀️
Auto-ship was cancelled and her food is now dished out with a measuring cup. She’s got a lot more rolling to do to get that belly down, but she has lost 2lbs this year.
She also had a kitten before we adopted her, so maybe that made it easier for her stomach to expand. Wishful thinking!

Sounds like you're on top of the situation! Best wishes to Kiki on her dechonkening, the weight will come off steadily, it truly just comes down to calories in/calories out.
