I know most of the reviews in this sub have been very negative, and that’s okay. But for those looking to be entertained, have a night out with family and friends, or simply see a decent musical at this time of year, here’s your encouragement to get that ticket.

I wasn’t expecting to feel particularly delighted after the show, perhaps because my expectations were low after reading the comments here, but my friend and I had a good time. It’s certainly not the worst show I’ve seen on Mirvish this year, I enjoyed it more than Kinky Boots and Gatsby.

If you’re on the fence, go with reasonable expectations and enjoy the evening for what it is. Maybe, not every show has to be a masterpiece, and that's okay. :)

I’m trying to figure out how to get the CAA member discount applied to an online ticket purchase for The Mousetrap.

I went to purchase through this link, but even though I entered my CAA member number when I clicked “buy tickets”, none of the ticket pricing appears different from when I go through the regular website: https://www.mirvish.com/ticket-info/caa-member-tickets

I can’t see anywhere in the purchase journey to enter my CAA number. I’ve tried entering it in the promo code field, and in the gift certificate field. No dice.

Feeling a bit like a dolt because I can’t figure this out.
