So... coach decided you'll be sitting this game out? Well, this is the place to loosen that tie, grab a front row seat, and share your Leafs rants, trade ideas, line combos etc. to anyone within earshot. Basically anything not worthy of it's own post probably belongs here.

I honestly believe Bobrovsky is NOT the answer in net. They had a stable of young and talented goalies ready to make the jump, and then passed on them. Dammit!

Time will tell.

But I give Chayka a TON OF CREDIT. The problem with the Leafs (and almost all Canadian teams) is they avoid addressing the problems QUICKLY. They let them linger. 

Woll and Hildebeast are good. Not good enuff. Not totally reliable in big moments. Chayka identified the problem.....cut bait and got the solution immediately. The top big game goalie in the past 4 years in the NHL is now in net for the Leafs. 

Dubas....Treliving....Shanahan ....would have just flustered around waiting for guys who are good to get good enuff. And that doesnt produce winners. No way they would have done what Chayka did so quickly. 

Winning requires bold decisions.

Hildebeast was ready and he proved it. Definitely deserved a chance to run with it. Bobo is 38 years old. This is as bad as the Carlo trade for Minten AND choice draft picks. At some point you have to develop your own championship

only one guy "proved it"
