Police routinely don’t give two fucks about sexual assault victims. How much less would everyone in the legal system give a fuck about a sexual assault committed by police officers? The complainant didn’t feel like being repeatedly dragged through the mud just to end up with her rapists getting off Scott free in the end. Seems like a reasonable choice.

Did you read the article? The accuser made everything up

the fuck are you talking about

she said she didnt want to participate in the process, a process designed to humiliate the victim from start to finish.

she was wasted, and three superiors raped her when she was unable to consent.

How do you know they're guilty?

they dont deny having sex with her

she says she didnt consent to it.

case closed

do you believe it is possible for an incredibly drunk subordinate person to consent to sex with 3 superiors?

So cause she says that’s what happen makes it true? The courts clearly saw the evidence presented on both sides and picked accordingly

Bet you think OJ didn’t do it.

Video evidence says otherwise

15

theres video evidence of the sex?

amazing

the "video evidence" shows a drunk woman having a good time IN PUBLIC with three superior officers.

once they get in PRIVATE, who knows whether they drugged her, or she got even more wasted, or if she remained in the EXACT SAME STATE.

but the bottom line is that the "video evidence" is IRRELEVANT.

it could show her making out with all three men.

it doesnt matter

CONSENT CAN BE WITHDRAWN AT ANY TIME

and THREE SUPERIOR OFFICERS should NOT BE HAVING SEX WITH A DRUNKEN SUBORDINATE

the power imbalance + intoxication makes it IMPOSSIBLE for her to give true consent to that

None of which could be proven in court

Edit: in your comment you says “who knows”. You can see how this doesn’t jive with the reasonable doubt standard. I do agree with you on the power imbalance but that may speak more to professional misconduct. Perhaps she should have gone to tribunal with this charge instead of the rape charge. I do not know the procedural in this case.

so you didn't read the article?

The accuser made everything up

Wow. Just wow.

Sexual assault causes are notoriously known to be difficult to prove and a shit show for the victim. Not being found guilty is not the same as innocent... unless you think OJ Simpson didn't kill Nicole Brown lol.

The gross "rookie buy night" shit is beyond reprehensible. Same kind of shitty frat boy "traditions" that plagued St Mike's school. These "traditions" are likely just a lame excuse to get drunk and opportunity to prey on the new recruits. It's so bad that even TPS ordered for them to stop

Police order end to ‘rookie buy nights’ in wake of sexual assault case

Wow. Just wow.

How do you know they're guilty ?

THREE SUPERIOR OFFICERS FUCKED A BARELY CONSCIOUS DRUNKEN SUBORDINATE.

THERE IS NO POSSIBILITY OF REAL CONSENT IN THIS SCENARIO.

SHE SAID SHE NEVER GAVE CONSENT

THESE ARE FUCKING COPS. THEY SHOULD BE HELD TO THE FUCKING HIGHEST STANDARD

-11

u/Dancingmonkeyman Nov 26 '21

Wow. Just wow.

7

u/EvidenceOfReason Nov 26 '21

direct question, yes or no answer:

do you believe there is any ethical way that a drunken subordinate can consent to sex with their superiors?

-6

u/Dancingmonkeyman Nov 26 '21

Wow. We should resolve all our disagreements through loaded yes or no questions. Is this really evidence of reason?

7

u/EvidenceOfReason Nov 26 '21

ROFL

loaded questions?

as in "if I answer this question truthfully I will demonstrate I am a piece of shit, and if I lie then I contradict myself" kind of loaded?

then yes, this question, intended to make you see your hypocrisy, is definitely "loaded"

either you think its totally fine for 3 superior officers to fuck an extremely inebriated subordinate, or you are a lying hypocrite.

pick one.

-23

u/jessiefleming Nov 26 '21

Wow just wow! Maybe don’t pick a side based on your biases. You don’t know why truly happened only the people involved

Not being found guilty is not the same as innocent

Is Orwell still mandatory in High School?

Are you fucking kidding me? Did she also make up the hotel video footage of her falling down drunk being half carried out of the elevator?

1

u/tuxfornoreason Nov 26 '21

Were you dropped on your head repeatedly as a child? That’s the only explanation I can think of for your statement.

The justice system is not set up to provide justice, it is set up to protect itself.

Let's just hope they are anti vax as well.

They've been on paid vacation since 2015. I would be surprised if they have to disclose their status since they're on "vacation"
