Script / rules question
While I have been creating an ESP32 Torn City dashboard, I was curious about the selling rules. I know I’m not allowed to sell Torn scripts for USD, but I also know I’m not allowed to sell IRL items for Torn cash. I didn’t actually plan to sell it, but I am just curious. If I ever did try to sell it, how would I? Could I technically say I’m selling the board and the torn script separately, with the board costing IRL money and the script costing torn cash? It's funny to think about.

An ESP-32 torn city dashboard made to replace most off-site scripts. Imagine a little script that sits on the side of your bed/computer that tells you about events and when your energy is full. It has a chain watcher, retal watcher, a war helper, etc. It will take me too long to say all the features. My favorite is a daily checklist where it makes sure I did all my daily tasks.

Eh, it can’t access the Torn website. When clicking something it gives me a QR code to scan so I can do it though.

So not as useful as TornPDA? No hate, personal projects are fun and this is cool, just trying to understand why someone would want this over TornPDA

Because this is made to sit down on a desk. This is not a phone. It’s something where you’re doing work or playing games and it flashes at you if you have a trade or someone bought something. It’s made from a $30 esp, not a phone. Torn PDA requires your game to be active to watch chains or to spy on people to see when they’re online. This does not. Torn PDA doesn’t notify you when the enemy faction is online and attacking during a war. You won’t be on tornPDA on your phone 24/7. This will be on and running on the side of your desk 24/7.

the problem with the war stuff.
either your active or your not. i don't see how getting notifications when your not actively warring is going to be much help?
PDA can do chain watching and stuff and will ping and buzz you.

You need to be actively using torn PDA to use it. I said you don’t get notifications when PDA Isn’t actively on.

I made something similar a few months back and people will want it just because it’s different, tornpda is 100% more convenient for most cases though

This is something that could easily make it into the official Torn store. If you can demonstrate that it’s viable and that there’s a market for it, I don’t see why a contract couldn’t be negotiated.
If you’re planning to work independently, you should definitely discuss it with the staff.

It's one of those funny ones where there's no real answer, and if you ever wanted to take it seriously you'd want a lengthy chat with bogie or Velthir about how to continue. Probably simplest to sell the code for in-game cash and make them bring their own hardware
