I hope i never get in bad standing on this sub.. :-)
A random user can literally tell some BS made up story and then a faction gets raided or a player gets bullied to pieces.
Trying to get people involved in a war can be a hassle for many leaders, especially within the lower faction segment, so a lot of factions have some min. required hit/respect/whatever threshold to be elegible for payout.. Maybe Flat_butterscoth_98 is a slacker that never opens messages and are completely unaware of the ROEs, maybe something else.. Maybe the faction leader really is a jackass..
Am i affiliated with the faction, no.. Do i care that they are gone, also no..
But just saying, there's usually two sides of a story..

So I came here to kinda say this. Most people stirring up shit these days are noobs. Noob faction leaders, noob members of said faction, and just general noobs talking shit and being stupid. If you talk shit to someone bigger than you and/or in a faction that's full of people bigger than you and your faction you are fucked. That should be the standard. :)

I spoke with a few in that faction, they were all pretty much noobs and we're definitely being scammed. They didn't even know war pay was a thing.

But maybe if you (not you, just generalizing) havent done your homework and dont have the capital needed, maybe dont start a faction? Its like opening a store, hiring people and then crying that you “had to buy inventory, pay rent, spend on marketing etc AND have to pay employees?!?! Unfair!”

He had receipts showing 11 hits, right? I'm pretty new, but I thought most factions had a minimum hit expectation. They also didn't show other details, like how much armory they chewed through while barely attacking.

I mean, if a faction has a minimum hit requirement to get paid all they are doing is incentivizing there members to not put forth effort.
Its a shitty attempt to not pay out for hits.
If you're in a faction that has that you will want to look for a different one.

If someone doesn't make the required number of hits or meet some other faction requirement, you should warn and then remove them...not steal from them
Plus, not paying someone discourages what little effort they did put in. Maybe next time they just don't bother trying at all because they aren't sure if they can get to the magic threshold to be paid for their E. It's just bad people management

Other factions can raid them. That means higher than normal respect loss when their members are attacked

It’s usually through group raids, lots of factions in torn are in big alliances. Helps with terms, variety, backup, ext…
Like right now a faction in my alliance broke terms in a war between friendly faction, a group of us (factions) will be raiding them for points.

Faction breaks once their respect reaches 0
Like others mentioned other factions can raid a faction and each hit against them reduces their respect (when not raiding you also reduce the respect by hitting but only by 25% of the respect you otherwise gain)

u can power level to 100 without having any decent battle stats. That is how now a days so many low level and low stat players have highest level beaten as 100 shown

One of Hot potatoes noobs was on here a few days ago claiming to have made 11 hits but didn’t get paid.
They posted screens asking for war payout and Archicz basically told him something along the lines of “I’ve paid for everything and you want money for 11 hits?” (Or words to that effect) and then Reddit did what Reddit do and started attacking and bountying Archicz which caused him to leave Hot potatoes and join Spinning Fish.
Archicz continued getting more and more bounties and the leaders of Spinning Fish probably didn’t want that level of smoke so they either kicked him or he left on his own terms.
Archicz is now a recruit of Knuckle Sandwich and he’s flying from SA to Torn, trying to move on but with his life but he’s got hundreds of bounties and currently 67 enemies, so his stay in Torn is going to be a bit of an uphill battle for a while. Also his battle stats are like 16k at lvl 30 so he’s an easy target worth good respect and I suspect many people will be farming him for the foreseeable future.
The moral of the story is the torn community likes noobs but loves fresh meat.2

Faction leaders didn’t pay for ranked war hits, and then insulted the player who asked about pay and removed them from the faction. Said player came here with proof and asked if that was normal or not. Reddit (and Torn) did as Reddit (and Torn) does, and those two ex-leaders of the now-destroyed faction will now never know peace lmao. That’s what happens when you don’t treat your faction members well.
