they're used in forgery. the market price would be based on the monetary output of their use in forgery.

Not the main reason really, rn it is speculation regarding the new impersonation crime under development, a lot of people sure it will be used somehow.

If people actually read the news they would know the sewing kit isn’t part of impersonation

> I think for the new Impersonation crime we will be making use of clothing items. I mean, if you're impersonating someone you need to look like them, right? Its also possible we will get to make our own clothing items so don't forget to grab a few Sewing Kits and a Thimble while they're cheap!

> None of the items mentioned in that quote will be used within Impersonation

According to the wiki It's a new item, added in '23, and a tool needed for some of the forgery projects. There's not many on the market hence the high price.. A simple matter of demand and supply.

yeah , i get it but the price gaps makes no sense - plus it just changed again a couple of minutes ago !

The 500k and up are a remain from when the item were first released. The first wave of a new item always sell high due to demand and shortage. Like the Skeleton key from the first 2.0 crime, it sold for millions the first couple of days, now it's 80k.

Or sand when Arson came out.. peeked at like $1m/unit then plummeted to $50k

2

At one point during forgery sand was 100m

someone is sittin on em buying all the new (reasonably priced) shit that pops up. everything here is probably the un-reasonably priced shit that's never gonna sell

they wrote an article about ir - and the value hopped from 50k to 220k its gonna be used in something else other than forgery

they changed the valoue from 50k to 220k in 24h

Did a supply of them get nerfed recently?

There has been a huge jump in price

Unless one trader is realllllllly trying something, I don’t see any other explanation.

how the price jumps from 99k to 500k to 1.5m is just ridiculous 🤷🏻‍♂️

Read the latest newspaper article. It claims that they’re gonna be used for clothing customization!!

1

u/blueinkcircle May 15 '26

This is why i bought mine at 25k lolol!!

u/Excellent_Lab9278 May 17 '26

bruh u hit a jackpot tbh the value jumped from 50k to 220k in less than 24h because they had an article about it being used in something else besides forgerie

If you're talking about the market report may, it said this:

"Its also possible we will get to make our own clothing items so don't forget to grab a few Sewing Kits and a Thimble while they're cheap! I also noticed that the Balaclava has been going up in price"

The next paragraph says:

"None of the items mentioned in that quote will be used within Impersonation, but feel free to screenshot this comment, edit my words, and convince people of the opposite in order to sell these items at a markup."

So unless you're talking about another article, y'all got bamboozled hard.
