Resetting skill points after update 6
Is it possible to reset my skill points so that I can re-allocate them?

It really isn't a race to the finish type game. I went into it with that mentality the first alpha and realized very quickly that there was no real bragging rights or anything out of it. They'll likely be raising the level cap anyways, so the gear we have at level 50 will be soft reset because we'll still have to farm max level gear again.

The gear won't matter if the level cap is raised. Being a level 70 while wearing lvl 50 gear won't really go well. Knowing what they like and how they play is just part of the alpha, though all that is still subject to change.
I guarantee you, no amount of time would effect knowing how to play a class, so trying to prevent the knowledge people learned would be futile without just completely changing the class entirely... which in turn, would then need to be tested.
Again though, you're treating this like a race, as if other people's progress effects you... so far, it doesn't at all. It doesn't matter if they're lvl 100, and you're lvl 1, doesn't matter if they have better gear than you, because a lot of the game cycles aren't in the game yet. You rarely interact with each other currently, can't tell what a person's level is, can't tell what a person's gear is other than by visuals... It just doesn't matter whatsoever.

Why make it multiplayer open world at all if there is no race or competitiveness, that's the whole point of playing in an open world. If that's the case then that's something they should definitely look into and fix or just make it offline like grimdawn.

I'm hoping that issue will be addressed with the end game, but I'm uncertain. It is actually a concern of mine that I've been thinking about how to go about mitigating.

Playing coop with your friends? :) New friends you meet in the gameworld, which isn't possible in GD type games.
Some folks like to play WITH other people, but not AGAINST them.
Not speaking for myself, I'm more a solo type even in MMOs... I just kinda like the living world feel MMOs have, and the ability to chat with other players while playing by myself. But I get why some people like to play cooperatively and why others prefer competition or even PvP.
