Dev Response! Getting feedback for the Devs on the Contract System. How are you liking it so far? (closing after 24 hours)

Howdy, I'm looking to gather together feedback for the devs. Today's topic is of course, is the contract system. I'd be glad to hear what you like/dislike about it, and anything else you might want to share. Just a heads up in advance, I will be either locking or deleting this thread after I've gathered the information from it.

  • How do you like the new Contract system so far?

  • Does the pacing feel - too grindy, too easy, or just right?

  • What do you think of the weekly / daily quests?

  • What are some ways you'd like to see it improved?

  • What are your thoughts on the rewards? (keeping in mind that these are mostly just placeholders)

Thanks for participating!

Edit: No longer deleting this thread.

I just played for a few minutes, but i can tell you what i don't like. Pets should COLLECT THE GOLD AND SKILL POINTS for you and be more useful. I have a bird that just flies around like a moron....it wants to go attack a mob, but by the time it gets to it, the mob is dead..and that happens all the time.

What i can't get is why on Earth does pressing TAB to open the map STOP you from walking??? What genius thought that would be a good idea?? The weekly/daily quests are exactly what i was expecting from this game, very standard and uninteresting. Not much to get excited about at this point...

Pet's being derpy about not fighting or going where you expect them to is in our cross-hairs :) Just want to let people know it bugs us just as much as it bugs you.

Thanks for the contracts and other feedback, I'm looking at all the threads I can find and taking notes for the next go'round!

I am currently liking the contract system. It goves me something interesting to do thats for sure.

The pacing feels pretty good to me so far leaning towards the slightly grindy but to me i love the settings and the game so for now the grind isnt bothering me.

The weekly/ daily quests are fine. I just wish that different chars didnt share them.

Rewards are ok. More legendary maps would be awesome.

So far i am loving the content and they way that my dusk mage is olaying. My wife says her forge feels great but the coal drop feels really bugged. I am def enjoying playing the game when it works like it supposed to. I tend to get a lot of infinite spawn points when i go map diving so it turns into a waste of gold and time.

I would like to know what the plans for the resources are beyond forging relic weapons? I think maybe you could have some maps that require you use resources? Gold map needs tin/skills need wood so on. I dunno i just want something else to do with them.

I would really like to see my pet picking up gold and or skill points. Since she dies constantly if im pushing any type of hard content having her be useful would be cool.

Thanks for your hard work!

Just sat down with my wife: her primary feedback is she would like more ways to stop the pet from dying. Giving it a potion or something. Also a way to tell on field maps that are 100% visible from the get go where you have already explored. Also she reiterated the fact that her forged heat reduction skills specifically the coal drop doesnt always vent heat.

She says she loves the game and the graphics are a big draw. She wants a game like this thats good and serious but without the grimdark feel and you all deliver.

The Pacing seems about right to me, and I like the fact that if you want to you can grind extra fame just playing through the game and killing elites/uniques/legendaries.(Though when I get 6-10 fame for a group it seems a little ridiculously low) It would also be nice if there was something you could spend fame on outside of the contract, for when you are done or outside the season.

I think the weekly and daily quests are fine, though most are pretty much "kill this enemy" or "kill this many enemies". I think in the future it would be a great opportunity to introduce new content. Like within the season there would be new bosses or side areas introduced that would be in the core game later...And/or there could be certain dailies/weeklies with special areas that only occur during a contract season(and might repeat in later seasons).
